Law Clerk- Criminal Dept

National law firm seeks a qualified law clerk with a great work ethic to join its team in the firm's Santa Ana, CA office. We are the nation's leading criminal record expungement law firm and currently practice in 17 different states.

This position will require a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.  

 

ABOUT THE LAW FIRM

We are a rapidly growing law firm with 50+ employees and in our 10th year. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft briefs, memorandums, affidavits and motions for all states
  • Research important legal issues
  • Complete legal research and perform analysis of cases
  • Handle responses from opposing parties and prosecutors
  • Correspond with court, prosecutor, and other states agencies regarding legal issues
  • Prepare documents for attorneys attending court
  • Assist with business development, blogging, and other projects which interest you

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Mastery of the English and legal language, both written and spoken
  • Currently attending an ABA-accredited law school
  • Desire to help people move forward from their pasts

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

  • $13.50/hr.
  • Modest performance bonuses
