Legal Assistant- Civil Litigation

National law firm seeks a qualified Legal Assistant with a great work ethic to join its team in the firm's Santa Ana, CA office. We are a full-service law firm that handles a wide range of cases.




  • Provide excellent customer support to clients
  • Troubleshoot for online case management system
  • Oversee the Intern tasks and Manage intern training with Operations Manager
  • Correspond with clients via email, mail, and phone
  • Process and distribute all department mail
  • Intake for new clients and new lawsuits
  • Draft documents, including Retainer Agreements, Powers of Attorney, and Discovery Shells
  • Receive and send documents to opposing counsel and clients
  • Follow up with settlement agreements
  • Handle of debt defense settlement negotiation and keep attorney up to date with relevant information
  • Work with the Operations Manager to make sure that all hearings have an attorney and all the proper tasks are inputted and the HACA Hearings Calendar is up to date
  • Processing settlements
  • Ensuring cases are dismissed properly
  • Following up with clients for settlements
  • Orders complaints and court documents for CW
  • Maintain the HACA Calendars which include the Pleadings, Discovery and Hearings
  • Handle the daily follow-ups of payments
  • Process all auto payments daily
  • Send invoices
  • Send follow-up emails to clients, vendors, and attorneys
  • Compile an end-of-the-month billing report detailing all checks received and payments made
  • Request and input checks



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong research, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure and deadlines
  • Be able to multitask and interact with others professionally
  • Be able to take initiative and work as part of a team


  • $13.00- $15.00 per hour; DOE
  • Medical, Vision and Dental benefits provided
